Starting January 19th 2025 PlayAmericanFootball.ae will be starting our youth program. PAF was created in 2023 as an adult flag football league as has grown to over 100 active players across the UAE with teams in Dubai, Al Ain, and Abu Dhabi. Flag football has had a boom in the past 5 years but more recently since the additon to the 2028 Olympic games.

Flag football is the safer form of American football where the players pull flags rather than tackle each other. There is no blocking or contact allowed. This creates a new way to enjoy this amazing sport wihtout the risk of serious injury. With that said, any sport be it soccer(football), basketball/netball, paddle, etc all have some risk involved, therefore all sport activities should be taken seriously, with proper preperation, and experinced coaches.
This is the basis of why PlayAmericanFootball.ae was created. Our coaching staff has over 50years of combined experience in the US and Europe at the highest levels. Our focus is not only the game but also teaching coordination, team work, and the skills needed to not only play the game, but also to play it safely and to use the skills learned as the players grow older.

Training will be Sunday’s from 5:00pm-6:30pm at the GEMS World Academy and will cost 75AED per session.

Session plan:

• Warmup w/coordination training
• Flag/Ball drills
• Group work -mini games
• Team work -Flag football full games

Our program will be offered for all players ages 6-17.
For players under 8 years old, there will need to be an assesment made to see if they are old enough to follow directions and be part of the group.

Players will be put in groups with players of similar age. Typical grouping would be 6-11, 12-17.  If a player is more advanced than others in the group than he/she can be moved up (after parent approval).
