Play American Football Kicks Off the 2025 Fall Season with New Teams and a New Era
The Play American Football 2025 Fall Season is here — and with it comes a brand-new look, new teams, and a bold new chapter for the sport in the UAE. This season marks the official launch of our new UAE Flag branding, establishing Play American Football as “UAE Flag — the Official Flag Football League of the UAE.”
Two New Teams Join the Battle
We’re proud to welcome two exciting new franchises to the league:
- Dubai Al Mazareeta, bringing fierce competition and unmatched energy to the field.
- Dubai Scorchers, a team built on speed, skill, and a burning passion for the game.
They join returning powerhouses Dubai Vipers, Dubai Ninjas, Dubai Cleats of Glory, and the Abu Dhabi Wildcats for what promises to be the most competitive season yet.
A Historic Start: The UAE’s First National Combine
The season kicks off with a milestone event — the first-ever American Football National Combine in the UAE. Modeled after the famous NFL Draft Combine, players will showcase their athleticism and skill across a series of tests, including the 40-yard dash, pro shuttle, vertical jump, broad jump, and L-drill. This marks a huge step forward in identifying and developing top-tier football talent in the Emirates.
Season Schedule and Road to the Dubai Bowl
The regular season officially begins September 28 and will run until November 2, culminating in the Playoff Weekend. The top four teams will not only battle for the Fall Championship but will also earn eligibility to compete in the Dubai Bowl — the largest flag football event ever held in the Middle East. As an added prize, the top team from the Fall Season will receive free entry into this prestigious international tournament.
